Schlange manufactures entryway products including doorknobs, door hinges, knockers and viewers, handle sets, electronic keypad locks, built-in alarm locks, and more. By 1920, Schlage left his job with Western Electric and opened his own business. Schlage was established as a company by 1923 and in 1974, the company was acquired by Ingersoll Rand becoming part of the Ingersoll Rand Door Hardware Group. Still a well-known name in entryway hardware, Schlage represents quality and security for many homeowners and business.
