What a nightmare

After 3 failed attempts at getting one of these installed, we are done.Install #1 ended up with the touch valve not working. May have been installer error, but the instructions are beyond obscure and confusing even for professionals. Replacement unit #1, install attempt #2, didn't go forward, as the unit was clearly defective right out of the box. Gross surface deformities, wrinkles, warps in surface finish on the handle site. Cannot imagine how this unit made it past inspection into the market. Shame.Replacement unit #2, install attempt #3. After several hours fighting to make the touch control unit work, our installer called Grohe tech support. After one long hold and a dropped call, he finally talked with tech support, who were downright rude and insulting to the installer. No help at all from Grohe. After another hour, our installer gave up. We only have hot water service now. We will not try a replacement unit.We have been brand loyal to Grohe for a decade, indeed every other faucet in the house in Grohe. Never again.
