I would highly recommend installing a timer switch with this fan. You can hook it up a regular switch, but it's so quiet that you'll forget it's running. A timer will help you make sure you don't leave it running all day when it's not needed.
I do not have it installed yet but it IS spread out on my living room floor and I love it. It is quiet though as I said, it is not wired up yet (it will be quiet though, I can just tell by how it is made). I had been looking forward to owning this Fantech for a long time and as bathroom fans go this is a dream come true. I like the remote fan/motor location and I am sure it will be perfect. It appears to be built well and all things fit. As cousin Eddie said...."it's a quality item Clark".
