7590CSL Moen Aberdeen Single-Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet - Classic Stainless
The Aberdeen™ line features a classic style but with surprisingly nimble functionality. Aberdeen faucets feature a high arc, pull–down spout with a one–of–a–kind pause button that allows the user to conveniently interrupt water flow.
Many years ago I had a cheep low clearance faucet so I couldn't wash pots or fill a gallon jug of water without tipping water out. It was awful so I started looking for a replacement. I was frustrated at not being able to find the "perfect" faucet in the box stores. My plumber recommended this one, so I googled and found it at faucet depot. The plumber installed it and I have been happy ever since. I LOVE the high clearance. I love the long hose (not really mentioned) so I can fill a pot on the counter. It almost reaches the stove, but not quite. I have not had any problems at all with it and when I ever get around to redoing my kitchen (always planning never jumping in) this one will replace the cheapie faucet in my laundry room and I will just put a new one in the kitchen.
The package arrived and we discovered several missing parts. Had to return it. Went to Home Depot and bought a faucet from them....all parts were in that package. No problem with Faucet Depot regarding the return. Hopefully, our credit card will show a credit.
I have had the faucet 9 years. I have replaced 2 cartridges. Yes they were free from Moen if you have 10 days to wait for them to be delivered while your tap leaks!!! Hard to replace. I had a plumber on the phone giving me directions and used water pump pliers standing on my counter reefing as hard as I could to get the old one out. Also the little decorative cap that goes on the top of handle has broken 4 times. The little plastic parts/tabs that hold it in place keep inexplicable breaking under completely routine use. I called Moen and they did say it was free but it was on backorder for 8 weeks!! They did not sound like these parts had broken surprised them at all.The reason I am writing this review now is because it is leaking again. This time it is not the cartridge because it is leaking from the actual faucet rather than the handle area. The Aberdeen has the handle and the faucet comes up through the counter in a separate hole. I took the cover off and there is a white plastic tubular piece that has what appears to be a vent with a tiny blue piece of rubber hanging out. For whatever reason whenever you turn the tap on water comes out the vent now. Leaks on the counter top and down along the pipe to my under-sink area. Of course Moen is closed on Sunday. We woke up this morning and the tap had leaked (slow dripped) all over our counter, under-sink area, and over the edge of the counter onto the hardwood floor. Boards are warped and some split inbetween. Thanks Moen for a perpetually bad, home-damaging product.
We purchased this faucet in 2008 and are now on our second replacement part for dripping. This faucet has a defective cartridge design that means every two years the cartridge fails and you have to replace it, and no, it is not the easiest task especially when the directions sent do not include this faucet and you have to try and find a similar one. While you wait for your replacement part you get to 1. Turn the water off at the faucet or 2. Watch gallons of water go down the drain. We cannot recommend this product.
I have had this faucet 4 years. I have 5 children and this faucet has held up and looks amazingly new. I did have to order a part that broke and was causing dripping but, no biggy because it was free and I am sure when I get it will be easy to repair.
